8 days of adventure trip

This trip takes place in Western Ukraine. Delightful villages and small towns have been preserved in the Carpathians far away from mass tourism. The tour offers a perfect assortment for all sports and hiking lovers. You will have a great opportunity to enjoy stunningly beautiful and breathtaking sceneries of the Carpathian forests as well as mountain pastures. We guarantee an impressive holiday that will be just spectacular, because you will get to know both a fast-growing metropolis of Lviv as well as the Carpathians.

Day 1. Arrival to Lviv

Arriving by plane/train/bus to Lviv. Transfer to hotel, check in. Lviv is a cultural metropolis in Western Ukraine with multinational traditions. You will have a good chance to explore the city by yourself on the first evening. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2. Lviv - Tatariv

The morning is free. In the afternoon you will already embark on the path towards the Carpathians. You will take the scenic route through Ukrainian villages, forests and mountains. In the early evening you will reach Tatariv - a health resort, which earlier was a favorite vacation spot for wealthy people from Poland and Austria-Hungary. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3. Mountain hike - Khomyak and Syniak

Today we will go to the mountains! The Carpathians are a paradise for those who enjoy walking long distances with the backpack. There are walking routes to suit every taste. Today's hiking tour will last about 5 hours and lead you to the peak of two mountains: Khomyak (1542 m) and Syniak (1666 m). On the top of the mountain there is the White Lady Statue, and from there you will be able to enjoy a wonderful panorama. When the weather is nice, you can also see Tatariv, Mykulychyn, Svydovets and a mighty ridge of the Chornohora.

After a short break you will continue your tour. The mountain Syniak is covered with numerous rocks, grass and partially with shrubs. From the summit one can see a modern Bukovel ski resort.

After 2 summits have already been lagged, the way home will begin. For a good and nice end of the day it is offered a session in the sauna and recuperation with real Carpathian tea just in your accommodation! Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4. Hiking tour to Polonyna (Bergalm)

A fascinating adventure is prepared for this day. It is planned for you to have a trip to Polonyna (alpine pasture) - one of the most beautiful corners of the Ukrainian Carpathians, where you can admire wild nature, rare species of flora and fauna. On the alpine pasture you can also enjoy a lunch cooked by a "real Hutsul". You will meet shepherds with their flocks of sheep and will be able to observe how the shepherds milk these animals by hand and produce various dairy products directly in the mountain hut. In the evening you will descend from the alpine pasture, and there will be a good chance to finish the day quietly in the valley.

Day 5. Hiking tour to Hoverla 

Today you will face a real challange - the ascent to the highest peak of the Ukrainian Carpathians and the Chornohora Mountains. Hoverla (2061m), the highest mountain of Ukraine, is a national symbol and, accordingly, it is also a very popular hiking destination.

The starting point for the hiking tour is in the midst of the nature reserve, about 15 km from Vorokhta. The route goes through all the vegetation zones of the Carpathians: starting with coniferous forests and ending with grass vegetation. The breathtaking and stunning panoramic view in the Eastern Carpathians will reward all of your efforts. The duration of this hiking tour is approximately 6-7 hours. We will certainly provide you with all travel provisions.

Day 6. Yaremche/Tatariv - Ivano-Frankivsk – Lviv

Today's route takes you .... through eventful detours back to Lviv. It will start with a visit of the waterfall, where you will get a chance to purchase all sorts of things on a large souvenir market.

Further on, you will set off on the route through Hutsul villages and small towns in the direction of Kolomyia which is considered to be a secret capital of the Hutsul country.

Here you will visit a very interesting Easter Egg painting museum and a history museum.

Around noon you will reach Ivano-Frankivsk, formerly known as Stanislau. In this beautiful city you will make an orientation walk with a delicious lunch. Afterwards, your road will run back to the former capital of the Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria, to Lviv.

Day 7. Lviv

Today you can really explore the city. During a detailed city tour you will see a historic downtown area with many UNESCO protected monuments such as Town Hall, the Jewish Quarter, Arsenal, the Church of the Dormition of Mary, the Boim Chapel, the "House of the Seasons", the Armenian Church etc. Lviv is undoubtedly regarded as a cultural capital of Ukraine, in addition to its indisputable reputation as the capital of the Ukrainian beer, chocolate and coffee culture. In the afternoon you will take advantage of an opportunity to get a close look at everything and to stroll through the city at ease.

Closing feast and overnight stay.

Day 8. Lviv Departure

Today you will say goodbye to your tour guide, transfer to the airport/railway station and journey home.
