Dear bike lovers, we would like to inspire you to go on our cycling tour in Western Ukraine! It is the best way to get to know the country and its people closer. It is important to discover the lifestyle in the Carpathians and to enjoy a holiday full of breathtaking landscapes, new impressions and hospitality. Saddle up your bike and come along for the ride

Day 1.  Arrival into Lviv

Day 2. Old Town Lviv Transfer to Rosluch (Bus 120km)

Day 3. Rosluch – Turka – Volosyanka (45 km)

Day 4. Uschtal national park (40 km)

Day 5. Volosyanka - Dubrynychi (51km)

Day 6. Dubrynychi - Uzhhorod – Transfer to Rakhiv (32km bike; ev. train; 205km bus)

Day 7. Rakhiv – Tatariv (55km)

Day 8. Tatariv – Verkhovyna – Verhnii Yaseniv (53km)

Day 9. Verhnii Yaseniv – Kosiv – Sheshory– Kolomyia (74km)

Day 10. Kolomyia – Transfer to Lviv  (190 Km by bus)

Day 11. Lemberg and departure

Day 1. Arrival into Lviv

Getting to Lviv by bus / train or airplane. Transfer to hotel, check-in. Today you will have time for individual explorations in this vibrant city.

Day 2. Old Town Lviv Transfer to Rosluch (Bus 120km)

In the morning you meet your tour guide and make a detailed guided tour through the Old Town protected by UNESCO. In the afternoon you go with a transfer into the Carpathians and get a first cozy evening in Rosluch.

Day 3. Rosluch – Turka – Volosyanka (45 km)

Today is the beginning of your bike tour through the most beautiful landscapes and places of the Outer Eastern Carpathians. You will cycle along the river Stryi up to Turka, where a surprise visit on the topic "Ukrainian mobility" will be waiting for you. Then it goes through the magnificent Ushok Pass (889m) on the border with Poland and the headwaters of the rivers Uzh (snake) and San. Overlooking the Beskids, it goes in serpentiles down to Uschtal and Volosyanka.

Day 4. Uschtal national park (40 km)

The Ushtal is a part of the Carpathian - biosphere reserve, which includes a total of 3 large parks in the triangle Ukraine-Poland-Slovakia. You cycle through the most beautiful parts of this country and also visit mysterious Arpad Line Bunker, which was built in this area by Hungary during World War II.

Day 5. Volosyanka - Dubrynychi (51km)

While cycling actively on beautiful mountain roads, you get to know the country of lemkos. On the way you visit a wooden church built in 1645 and, depending on the request, the oldest and largest oak in Ukraine (+ 10km). Accommodation with host families, where you will also try a typical transcarpathian dinner. 

Day 6. Dubrynychi - Uzhhorod – Transfer to Rakhiv (32km bike; ev. train; 205km bus)

Those who want can swap the bike for an authentic train. After a city tour and a coffee break in Uzhhorod, drive towards the center of Europe in Rakhiv. Enjoy the evening overlooking the Carpathian Mountains from the "Skybar".

Day 7. Rakhiv – Tatariv (55km)

Rakhiv is located in the geographical center of Europe and historically in Maramures region. Near Rakhiv begins the Tisza (at the confluence of the White Tisza and Black Tisza), with almost 1000km of the longest tributary of the Danube. From here you move to Pokutia, the land of the hutsuls. Picturesque and marvelous, it goes along the Black Tisza up to the Yabloniza Pass and Tatariv, a climatic health resort since imperial times.

Day 8. Tatariv – Verkhovyna – Verhnii Yaseniv (53km)

After a wonderful night at this beautiful place, you pass by railway viaducts, wooden churches and the highest peaks to Verkhovyna. Here numerous legends originated and many films were shot. Now you are in the heart of Chornohora, the highest mountain of Ukraine. To spend the night, you drive a little bit further to the village Verkhny Yaseniv.

Day 9. Verhnii Yaseniv – Kosiv – Sheshory– Kolomyia (74km)

On the Verkhovyna plateau you will cycle along the river Cheremosh up to Yavoriv, widely known for its carpet production in Ukraine. Visit a traditional courtyard with a sheep wool carpet workshop. Then it's comfortably downhill to Kosiv and further to the famous Sheshory - cascades. Here you can take a dip in Pystinka river. Approximately in the evening you leave this romantic place behind where every year one of the biggest Ukrainian ethno festivals is celebrated and let the city Kolomyia, the capital of the hutsuls, welcome you.

Day 10. Kolomyia – Transfer to Lviv  (190 Km by bus)

In Kolomyia you can watch a busy life and pay a visit to Pysanka Easter Egg Museum. You have got to know today's destination and look forward to be back again. Lviv is a cultural and tourist capital of Ukraine with many attractions and the UNESCO World Heritage Old Town. You can let your mind and also your feet "dangle". Lviv is also popular as chocolate and beer capital of Ukraine. And you know, both have many minerals that you can use now!

Day 11. Lemberg and departure

Enjoy your breakfast and say goodbye while having a walk in the center. Transfer and departure.
