Day 1. Train or flight to Budapest (on your own). Bus transfer to Dubrynychi
Arrival to Budapest & transfer from Keleti Railway Station to Dubrynychi, a village in Uzhtal. Meeting and overnight at the host family. Common dinner. (In case of early arrival there is a possibility to explore the village Dubrynytschi).
Day 2. Transfer to the start point
Arrival to the start point of the horse riding route at Velykyi-Bereznyi (210m). Acquaintance with the breed Hutsul horses. Probation riding. Lunch. The first track through the forest and the meadow Jawornyk (1017m) which takes about 5-6 hours, depending on the group and the weather. Dinner by the fire. Overnight in a wooden hut, or alternatively in a tent (no single-place accommodation are available).
Day 3. Horse riding day
The further route takes us through the forest which borders with Uzhanski National Park near the village Ljuta (from 1017m down to 400m). The trip takes around 5-6 hours. This track foresees a picnic and an opportunity to bathe in the mountain river Ljutanka. In the end of the day - dinner at the fire and night in a wooden hut, or alternatively in the tent.
Day 4. Horse riding day
Riding along the mountain river Ljutjanka (400m again up to about 1000m above a sea level). The horse riding takes around 5-6 hours. Overnight in a wooden hut, and dinner by the fire.
Day 5. Horse riding day
Further, the path leads to the mountain village Husnyj (720m) through the mixed forests, the meadows and grasslands (approximately 5-7 hours). Going back to the accommodation. Dinner. Overnight in a wooden hut, or alternatively in the tent.
Day 6. Cultural program
The horses take a day off here. And the group has a cultural program. Bus transfer to Husnyi. Visit of two wooden churches dated by XVII c. Walk through the mountain village. The horse riding through the Uzhok pass. Visit of Kess bath. Dinner. Overnight in a guesthouse in Uzhok.
Day 7. Horse riding day
Transfer back to Husnyj. Today is the culmination of our program. A steep climb to Pikui - the highest peak of the Lviv region with the beautiful views as far as the eye can see (720m to 1400m). The climb takes 6-8 hours. On the descent we lead the horses (no riding down the hill is possible) and then ride up to Schtscherbowets (400m). Dinner by the fire. Overnight in a wooden hut, or alternatively in the tent.
Day 8. Horse riding day
This is the last day of riding. We ride through the spruce forest, meadows and beech forest back to Preluki (1000m) and bring our horses back home. Dinner by the fire. Overnight in the wooden hut.
Day 9. Cultural program and transfer to Dubrynychi
We say goodbye to the horses and hike further to the trout farm (about 1 hour). For a lunch, we have grilled trout fish. After lunch - transfer to Dubrynychi. Dinner & acquaintance with Lemkos’ folk traditions in a local center for international meetings.
Day 10. Transfer to Hungary. Home trip
Departure. Transfer to Budapest (Keleti) and return home.
